Plotting

This page is your one-stop shop to pitch ideas to the mods, propose an event, or ask questions about things you’d like to do in the game. Every plot post will also have a Q&A section for this same purpose, but this one’s more for your general ideas and permission.

NPCs and factions, monsters, and locations can be suggested on their respective pages. Feel free to ask questions here, but we may send you to the page proper to officially submit it.

As a refresher, we’d like to be consulted for the following types of plots:

✧ Giving your character a prestigious, influential, or extremely privileged job

✧ Working for City Hall in any capacity

✧ Plots that would impact other players/large portions of the setting

✧ Plots that would damage or destroy public locations

✧ Interactions with major mod NPCs

✧ Killing any NPCs

✧ Plots that attempt to bend setting mechanics (taming a monster, leaving the boundaries of the map, experimenting magically with Shadows, etc - these are not forbidden but we’d like to know what you’re doing so we can give you some results)

If you’re unsure or just want to hash something out with us, go ahead and drop us a line!

So, what can we do for you?

So- I failed to do anything about it last month, but after her kidnapping/transformation, Scully would definitely have done a blood draw on herself and run it through any tox screen or analysis she had access to via the clinic.

She's also definitely going to take samples of the water (both pre- and post- boiling) and would test it to try to find the nature of the contaminant-- though unless there was some obvious commonality in the results I don't know that she'd necessarily see the connection.

So I guess my questions are

- how obvious would it be that the stuff in the water is what she was gassed with?
(if the answer is, it wouldn't have been detectable in her blood that's totally fine too.)

- is her poking around in this way going to attract any unwanted official attention?

Fortunately or unfortunately she's going to lose interest in this pretty quickly as the water starts to affect her, but if anyone else talks about investigation she'd probably have the presence of mind to chime in at least with her findings....

Thank you sorry this is disjointed and late!!!

Just noting that she'll probably test Mulder's blood too since he's having a mirror effect and she's worried- so presuming she'll find the same thing there?

She won't publicize anything yet but I'm thinking she'll make a network post-- maybe toward the end of the month or early next-- to see if she can find more evidence, and if possible see if she can find anyone who got the antidote during the Widowmaker plot. (Dunno if there'd still be traces but it'll be an excuse to network post so s'all good.)

Sounds good! I will probably still have her try to do the research since... she won't know there's no trace til she looks, lol.

She's definitely keeping some samples for personal use SCIENCE. Science purposes. Yes.

HELLO AGAIN o wise modfolks!

Spinning off from their wild theorizing about whodunnit re: the water supply / kidnapping incidents, Mulder and Scully are trying to figure out if you can measure anima. So just out of curiosity-- is there a known way they'd hear about when poking into it? Or is there equipment they might be able to use? (Scully's current plan is "roll up to the orgy at Heaven with an EMF detector and see what happens" even if what happens is them getting kicked out for not putting out, so.)

Basically just curious if they'd encounter anything interesting in the course of this, other than bewildered voyeurs. I know this is a fairly handwave-y mechanic so happy to roll with it if the answer is "nothing," just figured we should check in!

Thanks!
