Applications
Applications are open from the 1st through the 7th of each month. Apps close at midnight on the 8th, and will all be processed by the 9th.
Please consult the FAQ for information on appable characters and other guidelines. Also make sure that you've read the rules recently.
The application includes the following:

Age: (Please also list physical and mental age, if these are different.)
Canon: (The name of your canon)
Canon Point: (At what point from canon is your character drawn into Requiem?)
CRAU: (OPTIONAL: If your character is a CRAU from another game or is returning with memories from NR, clarify any major changes to their personality or abilities here. You don’t need to list the entire history of the other game, just any major events, CR, or alterations to the character we should know about. If not apping a CRAU, omit this section.)
History: Your character’s backstory up to their canon point. A wiki link is fine.
For OCs, please additionally give us a quick (200 words or less) description of the world your character comes from and any important terms we may need to know to understand your character.
If you are writing out a history yourself, keep in mind this should not be a summary of your entire canon: stick to your character’s participation in it, and cover major events that someone wanting to learn about your character should know.
Personality: A description of your character’s personality. This may take any form that you find useful, whether a few paragraphs, a bulleted list of their traits + explanations, or any format you prefer. A good guideline here is over 200 words, but the most important thing is that we have an idea of who your character is, however long it takes you to describe it.As an alternative for this section, you may choose 3 of the following questions to answer about your character: (click triangle to expand)
- What does your character act like around strangers? Around friends? Does the way they act tend to match the way they feel on the inside? Why or why not?
- What are some of your character’s positive traits? What are some of their negative traits/flaws? How do their positive traits help them solve problems, and how do their flaws make things more difficult for them?
- What is your character afraid of and why? Does this fear affect the way they act in any way? Has it affected any major decisions they’ve made in their life?
- What is the most important thing to your character? Who or what would they die for? What would they never, ever do no matter the circumstances?
- What values or virtues do they respect? What actions or flaws do they consider unforgivable? What kind of people do they get along with? What kind of people do they absolutely despise?
- Will your character look back on their life with any regrets? What will they wish they could have done before they arrived in Limbo? What will they do if they get out?
- A character’s superpowers or their job do not count as their personality– but how does your character FEEL about these aspects of themselves? Would they change them if they could? Do they feel any kind of obligation to use their powers/career in a certain way? Why or why not?
Abilities: A description of your character’s abilities, both superhuman and ordinary. What is your character good at? What skills do they have? Do they have any unique training or knowledge?
In the case of superhuman powers, please describe in detail what powers your character has. If they are in possession of a magical item or a pet/familiar that has magical powers, please describe those as well. If your character’s powers are extremely strong or potentially game-breaking, please tone them down a bit or we may ask you to do so in a revision.
If your character has death/ghost related powers, please check the FAQ to see if those may need to be altered. You may choose a power alteration and describe it here in advance. If the mods rule that your character’s death powers need to be altered, we will have you submit a revision to choose one. Please consult the mods if you need guidance or have any questions about this.
Inventory: What items does your character arrive with in Requiem? This automatically includes the clothes on their back, but please list any weapons, tools, personal items, or other objects they have on hand. The character cannot arrive with more than what they could easily carry in their arms.
Please mention in this section if you want your character to arrive with a pet or other companion animal/s. The pet will not be with them on arrival, but will be waiting for them somewhere in the city.
Eternal Reward: What is your character’s eternal reward?
An eternal reward is a wish granted upon their exit from Limbo if they’re found “worthy.” It can be as simple or as outlandish as you like. The return of a stolen family artifact? A chance to relive and change one specific day where everything went wrong? Resurrection or reunion with a lost loved one? Forbidden power? A bajillion dollars? Anything is fair game, so long as it will motivate your character to live a “worthy” life in Limbo. (You may change this later at any time)
Goals/Ideas: What are you hoping to accomplish with your character in the game? Are there any plot arcs you’d like them to pursue? Do you have any ideas for jobs they can get, mechanics you’d like to play with, or anything else you want to do with them? Let us know! We may use these answers to plan future events.
Samples: Link to a sample of you playing your character. This should be from within the last 6-12 months and can be in any format. Meme, game, or musebox threads are all fine. It does not have to be from our TDM, but it certainly could be.
Secret Code Phrase: Please go to the Rules and review them. Find the code phrase and copy it into this space. In doing so, you acknowledge that you have read the rules and agree to adhere to them for the duration of your stay in the game.
(Don’t skip this step. We will change and move the code phrase periodically. You will get a revision if you either forget this step or put in the wrong phrase. <3 )
